Note:
Prepaid yearly/monthly subscription: By default, an unconditional full refund is available within 5 days of purchasing a cluster. Any additional refund requests are processed as non-full refunds.
Postpaid pay-as-you-go subscription: Resources are immediately returned, and refunds cannot be applied for. Any frozen fees will be unfrozen and returned to your Tencent Cloud account according to the Freezing Rules. If you encounter any issues during the refund process, you can submit a ticket. 5-Day Unconditional Full Refund
In the yearly/monthly subscription mode, TDMQ for MQTT clusters follow Tencent Cloud's Instruction on Refunds for Cloud Services. You are eligible for an unconditional full refund within 5 days of purchasing a cluster. The specific rules are as follows: Each entity is eligible for an unconditional full refund for up to 1 cluster within 5 days (inclusive) of purchase. The refund amount is the total amount consumed at the time of purchase, including funds from the cash account, revenue transfer account, and gift account.
Vouchers or discount coupons are non-refundable. Non-discounted fees paid will be refunded in full to your Tencent Cloud account.
If you need to return a cluster purchased as part of a promotional campaign, and the refund policy conflicts with the campaign policy, the campaign policy shall prevail.
In case of any suspected exceptional or malicious return, Tencent Cloud has the right to reject your return application.
Non-Full Refund
For prepaid cloud products that do not qualify for the 5-day unconditional full refund, the following rules apply:
If you have already used the 5-day unconditional full refund for one cluster, other clusters are still eligible for self-service refunds. Self-service refunds will be credited to your Tencent Cloud account according to the proportion of cash and bonus credits used for the purchase.
Refund amount = Payment amount – (Usage duration/Total duration) x Discount applied to the original order price
Usage duration less than one day is calculated as a full day. The applicable discount is determined based on the usage duration and the current system discount tier.
The unit price and discount are subject to the system promotional offer.
For products purchased in promotions, if the refund rules conflict with those of promotions, the rules of promotions shall prevail. If the rules of promotions state that refunds are not supported, you are not able to apply for a refund.
Self-service refund is not supported for promotional reward channel orders. Please submit a ticket to initiate a refund application. In case of suspected abnormal or malicious returns, Tencent Cloud reserves the right to reject the return request.
Downgrade Refund
Cluster downgrade follows the refund before repurchase principle. That is, Downgrade refund amount = Refund for resource return – Fee for purchasing new resources.
Vouchers or discount coupons used for product purchases are non-refundable. Non-discounted fees paid will be refunded to the payer's Tencent Cloud account based on the original payment method (cash, credit, or cash coupon) and on a pro rata basis.
Note:
The fee for purchasing cash vouchers is non-refundable. For orders paid with cash vouchers, the equivalent voucher amount will be refunded proportionally to the payer's Tencent Cloud account based on the original payment.
Refund for resource return: The refund amount is calculated based on the non-full refund rules.
Fee for purchasing new resources: This fee is calculated based on the prices of new resources and the discount (matching the current discount in the system).
Refund Method
You can terminate or return a cluster in the corresponding MQTT console. The system will automatically initiate a refund and terminate or return related resources. For specific operations, refer to Terminating/Returning a Cluster.
