When the available balance in your account is insufficient to complete a payment, the account enters the overdue payment state, and cluster operations may be affected. Top up your account promptly.

Overdue Payment for Yearly/Monthly Subscription Clusters

Alerts

You will receive the following alerts after specifying the recipients and receiving channels in Message Subscription Management.
Alert Type
Description
Expiration Alert
The cluster will push expiration alert messages to you on the 7th day, 5th day, 3rd day, and 1st day before expiration, as well as on the expiration date. The alert messages will be sent through email and Short Message Service (SMS) to the creator of the Tencent Cloud account, global resource collaborators, and financial collaborators.
Overdue Payment Alert
The cluster will push alert messages about isolation due to overdue payment to you on and after the expiration date. The alert messages will be sent through email and SMS to the creator of the Tencent Cloud account and all collaborators.

Overdue Payments

Time
Description
7 Days Before Expiration
The system will send you a renewal reminder notification.
Expiration Date
If your account balance is sufficient and you have enabled auto-renewal, the system will perform auto-renewal on the expiration date.
If your account has an overdue payment and neither auto-renewal nor manual renewal is performed, it will enter the isolation period on the expiration date.
Within 7 Days After Expiration
The cluster status is "Isolated", and the cluster can be used normally. During this period, you can manually renew the cluster. After renewal, the cluster will recover to its normal status. The renewal cycle starts from the expiration date of the previous cycle.
More Than 7 Days After Expiration
If the cluster is not renewed within 7 days (including the 7th day) after expiration, the system will release the resources within 24 hours after expiration. All data will be cleaned up and cannot be retrieved. When the cluster is terminated, we will notify the creator of the Tencent Cloud account and all collaborators via email and SMS.

Overdue Payment for Pay-as-You-Go Clusters

Alerts

You will receive the following alerts after specifying the recipients and receiving channels in Message Subscription Management.
Alert Type
Description
Overdue Payment Reminder
The system will deduct fees for pay-as-you-go resources at each full hour. When your account balance becomes negative, we will notify the Tencent Cloud account creator, as well as global resource collaborators and financial collaborators, through email and SMS.
Overdue Payment Alert
This feature is disabled by default. If you need to use this feature, see Balance Alert Instructions.

Handling Overdue Payments

In pay-as-you-go mode, the billing cycle is set to daily. The billing system measures your service usage for the previous calendar day and issues a bill the following day. The service fee is then deducted from your account based on the bill amount.
From the moment your account balance becomes negative, the cluster remains usable and will continue to incur fees for 24 hours. After 24 hours, the TDMQ for MQTT service will be suspended. You cannot send or receive messages normally, access to the console and cloud APIs will be disabled, and resource usage fees will continue to be incurred.
After the service is stopped, the system performs the following actions on the TDMQ for MQTT cluster:
Time after Service Suspension
Description
7 Days or Less
If your account is topped up and the account balance exceeds 0, billing will resume and you can continue to use TDMQ for MQTT.
If your account balance is less than 0, you cannot use TDMQ for MQTT.
Greater Than 7 Days
If your account is not topped up to a positive balance, your pay-as-you-go TDMQ for MQTT resources will be terminated, and all data will be cleared and cannot be recovered. When the TDMQ for MQTT resources are terminated, we will notify the creator of your Tencent Cloud account and all collaborators through email and SMS.

Must-Knows

After you receive an overdue payment notification, go to Billing Center in the console to top up your account to prevent any impact on your business.
If you have any questions about your billing details, you can view and verify them on the Resource Bill page in the console.
If you have questions about specific billable items, you can learn about the meaning and billing rules of billable items in Billing Overview.
You can also set overdue payment alarms on your own through the balance alarm feature in Billing Center. For more information, see Balance Alert Instructions.
