EIP is a public IP address that can be purchased and held independently. Therefore, Tencent Cloud will charge IP resource fees.
Note:
IP resource fees are not charged for EIPs billed by hourly bandwidth and monthly bandwidth subscription.
When the account's EIP quota in all regions is less than or equal to 2,000, IP resource fees are charged for EIPs billed by traffic and BWP only when these EIPs are not bound to cloud resources.
When the account's EIP quota in all regions is greater than 2,000, IP resource fees are charged for EIPs billed by traffic and BWP, regardless of whether these EIPs are bound to cloud resources.
After an EIP is bound to cloud resources, public network fees will be charged. For more information, see Public Network Fees.

Billing Mode

The billing cycle for IP resource fees is an hour, and the payment mode is postpaid. The specific billing and crediting time is subject to the actual Billing Statement.
When the account's EIP quota in all regions is less than or equal to 2,000:
The billing of IP resource fees starts when you apply for an EIP, suspends when you bind the EIP to cloud resources, resumes when you unbind the EIP from cloud resources, and stops when you release the EIP.
The billing duration is precise down to the second. Fees incurred in the last hour are settled and deducted once per hour. If the duration is less than an hour, fees will be billed according to the time proportion (billing seconds / 3,600 seconds).
If you unbind an EIP from cloud resources and bind it to them again multiple times within the same billing cycle, the billing duration will be the cumulative time during which the EIP is not bound to cloud resources.

When the account's EIP quota in all regions is greater than 2,000:
The billing of IP resource fees starts when you apply for an EIP, and stops when you release the EIP.
The billing duration is precise down to the second. Fees incurred in the last hour are settled and deducted once per hour. If the duration is less than an hour, fees will be billed according to the time proportion (billing seconds / 3,600 seconds).

Billing Formula

IP resource fees = Unit price of EIPs in the region x Billing duration.

Pricing

Note:
IP resource fees are the same for all line types. Whether for the general, accelerated, dedicated BGP IP address, Anti-DDoS EIP, or static single-line IP address line types, the price of IP address resource fees is consistent.

Billing Example

Assume that your account's EIP quota in all regions is less than or equal to 2,000. You apply for an EIP in the Guangzhou region between 09:00:00 AM and 09:59:59 AM. After leaving it idle for 45 minutes (2,700 seconds), you bind it to a CVM. The IP resource fee incurred is: 0.031 USD/hour x (2,700/3,600) hours = 0.02325 USD, which will be settled and deducted in the next hour (between 10:00:00 AM and 10:59:59 AM).
Attention:
To avoid incurring unnecessary IP resource fees, bind the EIP to cloud resources promptly after applying for it, and release the EIP immediately after unbinding it from cloud resources.
