This document describes different public network prices for different billing modes. You can choose a suitable billing mode as needed.
Note:
General BGP IP addresses support all the billing modes.
Dedicated BGP IP addresses support billing by BWP.
Accelerated IP addresses, static single-line IP addresses, and Anti-DDoS EIPs currently only support billing by BWP. See BWPs. The unit conversion scale for bandwidth is 1,000. That is, 1 Tbps = 1,000 Gbps, and 1 Gbps = 1,000 Mbps (b = bit).
The unit conversion scale for traffic is 1,024. That is, 1 TB = 1,024 GB, and 1 GB = 1,024 MB (B = Byte).

Bandwidth package | Bandwidth Package (BWP) is a multi-IP address aggregated billing mode. When public network traffic peaks of various businesses occur in different periods, you can use BWP for aggregated bandwidth billing to significantly reduce public network fees. |
Monthly Bandwidth Subscription
Fixed bandwidth is purchased as needed in advance, and the payment mode is prepaid. It is suitable for long-term usage scenarios where the peak business traffic remains stable in different time periods.

Billing Example
Assume that you have purchased a general BGP IP address in the Guangzhou region and chosen the monthly bandwidth subscription billing mode. You have purchased a 2-month fixed bandwidth of 15 Mbps. The total fees are: (3.4 USD/Mbps/month x 5 Mbps + 11.83 USD/Mbps/month x 10 Mbps) x 2 months = USD 270.6.
By Hourly Bandwidth
Fees are charged by hour based on the set public network bandwidth, the payment mode is postpaid, and fees are settled once per hour at the dot.

Note:
Fees are settled hourly. If the network bandwidth is changed multiple times within 1 hour, billing will be based on the highest bandwidth.
Billing Example
Assume that you have purchased an EIP in the Hong Kong (China) region and chosen the hourly bandwidth billing mode. Between 07:30:00 AM and 08:30:00 AM, the peak bandwidth you set is 15 Mbps.
The fees are calculated in two billing cycles:
Billing cycle between 07:00:00 AM and 07:59:59 AM: Fees for the portion with a bandwidth of less than or equal to 5 Mbps = 0.0058 USD/Mbps/hour x 5 Mbps x 1 hour = USD 0.029. Fees for the portion with a bandwidth of greater than 5 Mbps = 0.0208 USD/Mbps/hour x 10 Mbps x 1 hour = USD 0.208. Total fees = USD 0.029 + USD 0.208 = USD 0.237.
Billing cycle between 08:00:00 AM and 08:59:59 AM: Fees for the portion with a bandwidth of less than or equal to 5 Mbps = 0.0058 USD/Mbps/hour x 5 Mbps x 1 hour = USD 0.029. Fees for the portion with a bandwidth of greater than 5 Mbps = 0.0208 USD/Mbps/hour x 10 Mbps x 1 hour = USD 0.208. Total fees = USD 0.029 + USD 0.208 = USD 0.237.
By Traffic
Fees are charged based on the public network traffic used, the payment mode is postpaid, and fees are settled once per hour. It is suitable for scenarios where the peak business traffic fluctuates significantly across different time periods.

Billing Example
Assume that you have purchased an EIP in the Guangzhou region and chosen the traffic billing mode. You use 10 GB of traffic in total between 07:00:00 AM and 07:59:59 AM. The fee incurred at 08:00:00 AM is 0.12 USD/GB x 10 GB = 1.2 USD.
Note:
The statistical data of public network traffic is based on downstream bytes (the number of traffic bytes from Tencent Cloud Internet Data Centers (IDCs) to public networks). In actual network transmission, the incurred network traffic might be 5% to 15% higher than the sole application-layer traffic. Therefore, the traffic statistics collected by Tencent Cloud might be 10% higher than the traffic statistics collected by users on the server side.
TCP/IP packet header overhead: For HTTP requests based on the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), the maximum size of each packet is 1,500 bytes, including a 40-byte packet header for TCP/IP. The packet header part incurs traffic, but cannot be counted by the application layer. The overhead of this part is about 3%.
TCP retransmission: During normal network transmission, 3% to 10% of sent network packets are dropped by the Internet. After they are dropped, the server will retransmit them, and this part of traffic cannot be counted by the application layer either, accounting for about 3% to 7%.
BWP
BWP is a multi-IP address aggregated billing mode. When public network traffic peaks of various businesses occur in different periods, you can use BWP for aggregated bandwidth billing to significantly reduce public network fees.
Different IP address types and IP address line types correspond to different BWP types and fees, as shown in the table below.
