Overview
Data Subscription for Kafka allows you to manage consumer groups, including modifying passwords, deleting consumer groups, and modifying consumption offsets.
In addition, users can view information such as Client ID (the client ID that consumes data from this group), partition number, consumption offset, time when the consumption offset is written to the partition, and consumption lag in consumption management.
Prerequisites
Note
In the same consumer group, modifying the consumption offset is not supported when other Kafka clients are consuming data.
Modifying Consumer Group Passwords
1. Log in to the DTS Console, select Data Subscription in the left sidebar to go to the Data Subscription page.
2. In the data subscription list, select the data subscription you want to view, and click the Subscription ID or View Subscription Details in the Operation column to go to the subscription management page.
3. On the subscription management page, select the Consumption Management tab and click Change Password in the Operation column.
4. In the pop-up dialog box, modify the password and click Modify.
Delete a consumer group
1. Log in to the DTS Console, select Data Subscription in the left sidebar to go to the Data Subscription page.
2. In the data subscription list, select the data subscription you want to view, and click the Subscription ID or View Subscription Details in the Operation column to go to the subscription management page.
3. On the subscription management page, select the Consumption Management tab and click Delete in the Operation column.
4. In the pop-up dialog box, confirm that everything is correct and click Delete.
Note
After a consumer group is deleted, the consumption offsets in the group will also be deleted, but the data in the data subscription will not be deleted. Proceed with caution.
