Data subscription refers to obtaining data change information of key business in the database, packaging this information into message objects, and pushing them to Kafka for downstream businesses to subscribe to, obtain, and consume. Tencent Cloud DTS supports consuming data directly through Kafka/Flink clients, making it convenient for users to build data synchronization between cloud databases and heterogeneous systems, such as cache updates, real-time ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) synchronization, and asynchronous business decoupling.
When consuming subscribed data, users can choose from three formats: ProtoBuf, Avro, and JSON. ProtoBuf and Avro are binary formats that offer higher efficiency, while JSON is a lightweight text format that is simpler and easier to use.
DTS supports data subscription for the following database types.
