Billing Overview

The costs of edge physical machines include two major categories: computing power and bandwidth. Their billing items, billing methods, and billing cycles are as follows:
Billing Category
Billable Item
Billing Modes
Billing Cycle
Computing Power
compute core
Postpaid for monthly average cores
by calendar month
Bandwidth
Public Network Bandwidth
Postpaid for monthly 95th percentile peak bandwidth
by calendar month

Billing Overview

Computing Power Billing Description

Billing Rule

The computing power cost of edge physical machines is billed based on the monthly average compute cores. Within a complete billing cycle, the total computing power cost is the sum of the computing power costs of each edge zone.
Single edge zone computing power cost = monthly average cores of edge physical machines in a single edge zone × unit price per compute core in that edge zone.
Monthly average number of cores of edge physical machines in a single edge zone = number of vCPU cores of all edge physical machines in the target edge zone within a single billing cycle / number of days in the billing calendar month, rounded up.
The number of vCPU cores of all edge physical machines in the target edge zone within a single billing cycle: the sum of cores from edge physical machines in the "Created" or "Released" state (excluding the service-suspended state) each day during the cycle.

Bandwidth Billing Explanation

Billing Rule

The bandwidth fees for edge physical machines are billed based on the monthly 95th percentile bandwidth usage. Within a complete billing cycle, the total bandwidth fee equals the sum of bandwidth fees across all edge zones.
Bandwidth fee for a single edge zone = Bandwidth usage of a single edge zone × Unit price of bandwidth in that edge zone × Time coefficient.
The bandwidth usage of a single edge zone: Within a billing cycle, inbound and outbound bandwidth is sampled every 5 minutes daily. The higher value between the two directions is recorded as the bandwidth sample for that time point. This yields 288 daily samples, resulting in 288×N monthly samples (where N represents the number of days in the month). Subsequently, all samples in the billing cycle are sorted in descending order. After the top 5% higher values are excluded, the highest remaining sample is designated as the monthly 95th percentile bandwidth for that edge zone, which constitutes the bandwidth usage of the single edge zone.
Time coefficient = Effective billing days for a single edge zone / Calendar days in the billing month.
The valid billing days for a single edge zone: are determined based on whether the maximum 5-minute effective bandwidth (daily peak) in that edge zone exceeds 1 kbps. If the daily peak bandwidth exceeds 1 kbps, it is considered a valid day.
The conversion base for bandwidth is 1000. Example: 1 Tbps = 1000 Gbps.

Overdue Payment Instructions

After the bill is generated, the payable amount will be automatically deducted from your account balance. When the available credit under your account (including account balance and vouchers) is insufficient to cover the payable amount, your account will enter arrears status. We will notify the creator of the Tencent Cloud account via email and SMS.
Edge physical machine resources remain available for normal use within 7 days of account arrears. Please recharge promptly to prevent impact on your service.
When your account has been in arrears for more than 7 days, edge physical machine resources will be suspended. The machines will stop running and lose public network access, rendering them unusable. However, data will not be cleared. Once the account balance is restored, edge physical machine resources will resume normal operation.
After 8 days of service suspension, the edge physical machine instances will be destroyed, data will be cleared and cannot be recovered.
