On the Data Backup List page, you can filter by time to view manually and automatically backed-up data backup sets. As needed, you can delete backup sets that are no longer required or convert backup sets to scheduled backups for long-term retention.
Viewing Data Backup Sets
1. Log in to the TDSQL Boundless Console. In the Instance List, click Instance ID or Operation column Manage to enter the Instance Management page. 2. Go to the Backup and Restoration > Data Backup List tab. On this page, all data backup sets for the current instance are displayed and are sorted in descending order by backup start time by default.
The meanings of the fields in the data backup list are shown in the following table.
|
Backup Set ID | Unique identifier of the backup set. |
File Name | Name of the backup file. |
Backup Method | Backup method, which includes physical backup, logical backup, and snapshot backup. |
Backup Mode | Trigger method of the backup, which includes manual and automatic. |
Backup Type | Backup type, which includes full backup and incremental backup. |
Start Time | Start time of the backup task. |
End Time | Completion time of the backup task. |
Expiration Time | Expiration time of the backup set, which is automatically calculated based on the backup retention days. The system will automatically clean up the backup set upon expiration. |
Backup Duration | Elapsed time of the backup task from start to finish. |
Backup Size | Size of the backup file. |
Backup Status | Current status of the backup task. |
3. (Optional) Use the time filter at the top to quickly locate backup sets.
The following filter criteria are supported:
All: Displays all backup sets.
Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, Last 15 days, Last 30 days: Filter by preset time range.
Custom: Specify a start and end time for precise filtering.
4. (Optional) Enter resource attributes in the search box to quickly search for target backup sets.
Manual Backup
The manual backup feature allows you to create data snapshots on demand outside of the automatic backup policy (for example, before a major change is performed), providing you with more flexible disaster recovery protection. For details, see Manual Backup. Note:
Automatic backup: It is automatically generated by the system based on the backup policy, cannot be manually deleted, and its lifecycle is controlled by the configured retention period. Manual backup: It is created by users and can be manually deleted. You can delete a backup set to release storage quota when it is no longer needed or when the number of backup sets reaches the upper limit.
On the Data Backup List page, you can perform the following operations on manual backup sets:
Modify Remarks for Manual Backup: To facilitate identification and management, you can modify the remarks for a manual backup set.
Procedure: On the Data Backup List page, click the icon after File Name to modify the remarks for the manual backup. Delete Manual Backup Sets: You can delete a single manual backup set or delete multiple sets in batches.
Note:
Once a backup set is deleted, you can no longer use it to perform backup recovery. Proceed with caution.
Delete a single manual backup set: On the Data Backup List page, locate the row of the backup set to be deleted, and click Delete in the Operation column.
Delete Manual Backup Sets in Batches:
1.1.1 On the Data Backup List page, select the manual backup sets to be deleted, and click Delete in the upper-left corner of the page.
1.1.2 In the pop-up box, confirm the backup set to be deleted and click OK.
Converting to Scheduled Backup
The system supports converting automatic/manual backup sets into scheduled backup sets for long-term retention.
Prerequisites
On the Backup and Restoration > Backup Settings tab, in the Scheduled Backup Configuration area, Scheduled Backup Retention is enabled.
The backup set to be converted to a scheduled backup set has a Backup Mode of Manual or Automatic.
Steps
1. On the Data Backup List tab, click Convert into Scheduled in the Operation column.
2. In the pop-up dialog box, click OK.
After the conversion is complete, the system retains the backup set according to the Scheduled Backup Configuration policy on the Backup and Restoration > Backup Settings tab.
As the opposite operation of converting to scheduled, if you do not want a scheduled backup to be retained long-term, you can click Convert into Automatic in the Operation column. The backup and restoration system will then delete it according to the lifecycle of automatic backups.
