1. API Description

Domain name for API request: vod.intl.tencentcloudapi.com.

Initiate a complex adaptive bitstream processing task. Features include:

  1. Output HLS and DASH adaptive bitrate streams based on the designated adaptive bitrate template;
  2. Content protection solutions for adaptive bitrate streams are available in unencrypted, Widevine, or FairPlay.
  3. Support adding opening and ending segments;
  4. The output adaptive bitrate stream can contain multilingual audio streams, with each language coming from a different media file;
  5. The output adaptive bitrate stream can include multilingual subtitle streams.

Notes:

  1. When using an opening scene, the video stream in the opening scene media needs to align with the audio stream; otherwise, it will cause audio and video synchronization issues in the output.
  2. If the output adaptive bitrate stream needs to include the audio of the main media, specify the FileId of the main media in the AudioSet parameter.
  3. To use subtitles, add them to the main media first via the ModifyMediaInfo API or the audio and video details page in the console.
  4. Top speed Codec and watermark are not currently supported.

A maximum of 20 requests can be initiated per second for this API.

2. Input Parameters

The following request parameter list only provides API request parameters and some common parameters. For the complete common parameter list, see Common Request Parameters.

SubAppId Yes Integer The VOD application ID.
FileId Yes String Media ID of the main media file.
StreamParaSet.N Yes Array of ComplexAdaptiveDynamicStreamingTaskStreamPara Adaptive bitrate parameters. Supports up to 8.
HeadTailSet.N No Array of HeadTailTaskInput List of opening and ending sequences. Multiple opening and ending sequences are supported, up to 4. If this field is specified, the start time of the media specified in AudioSet and SubtitleSet will automatically adjust to keep synchronized with the main media.
AudioSet.N No Array of ComplexAdaptiveDynamicStreamingTaskAudioInput Multilingual audio stream parameters. Supports up to 16. Each array element corresponds to an audio stream in the adaptive bitrate stream. If you want to add an audio stream from the main media file to the output adaptive bitrate stream, specify it here as well. The order of elements in the array determines the order of audio streams in the adaptive bitrate stream. If the input media file contains both video and audio streams, the video stream will be ignored.
SubtitleSet.N No Array of ComplexAdaptiveDynamicStreamingTaskSubtitleInput Multilingual subtitle parameters. Up to 16 supported. Each array element corresponds to a subtitle stream in the adaptive bitrate stream. The order of elements in the array determines the order of subtitle streams in the adaptive bitrate stream.

3. Output Parameters

Parameter Name Type Description
TaskId String Task ID.
RequestId String The unique request ID, generated by the server, will be returned for every request (if the request fails to reach the server for other reasons, the request will not obtain a RequestId). RequestId is required for locating a problem.

Example1 Creating a Complex Adaptive Bitstream Task

Transcode a media file with video and Chinese audio into an adaptive bitrate stream, and add an opening scene, English audio, CN text, and English subtitles.
The FileId of the main media is 4424135347909043783, with Chinese and English subtitles. The FileId of the English audio that matches the main media is 4424135347909043652. The adaptive bitrate template is 220368, and the opening scene template is 14591.
