Last updated: 2026-04-01 20:55:16
After creating a Cloud Connect Network (CCN) instance and associating it with network instances, you need to configure bandwidth to enable normal communication.
For CCN users who adopt the prepaid by bandwidth billing mode, they need to purchase additional bandwidth for both regions associated with CCN.
For CCN users who adopt the postpaid by bandwidth or postpaid by traffic billing mode, the system will automatically generate a default bandwidth limit. You can also configure the bandwidth limit for both regions associated with CCN based on your actual needs.
Note:
For CCN instances using the postpaid by bandwidth billing mode, the default bandwidth for both regions is 1 Gbps.
For CCN instances using the postpaid by traffic billing mode, the default bandwidth is 1 Gbps for non-cross-border regions associated with CCN, and 100 Mbps for cross-border regions associated with CCN.

Prerequisites

Create and associate a CCN instance. For detailed operations, see Creating a CCN Instance and Associating a Network Instance.
Check the route table to ensure there are no route conflicts. For detailed operations, see Viewing Routing Information.

Purchasing Bandwidth for Both Regions (Only Applicable to CCN Instances Using the Prepaid by Bandwidth Billing Mode)

For CCN instances using the prepaid by bandwidth billing mode, if bandwidth is not purchased, communication across all regions with bandwidth up to 10 Kbps is free of charge. For higher bandwidth requirements, bandwidth needs to be purchased according to the communication regions.
The operation steps are as follows:
1. Log in to the CCN console and go to the CCN Management page.
2. In the CCN List, locate the CCN instance using the prepaid by bandwidth billing mode and click its ID to go to the Details page.
3. Select the Bandwidth Management tab.
4. On the Bandwidth Management interface, click Purchase Bandwidth.
5. In the pop-up Purchase dialog box, select the required bandwidth specification.
Purchase non-cross-border bandwidth.
5.1 In the CCN Bandwidth tab, select both regions associated with CCN, and then set the target bandwidth upper limit and the purchase duration.
Note:
The target bandwidth upper limit can be configured within the range of [2, 10000].
5.2 In the Purchase Bandwidth dialog box, click Buy Now.

.
5.1 In the Purchase Bandwidth dialog box, click the CCN Bandwidth (Operated by China Unicom) tab.
5.2 If the prompt that you have not submitted enterprise information appears on the interface, first click CCN Cross-Border Sales Compliance Check to submit enterprise information for the compliance check.
5.3 Fill in the user profile following the page prompts. Once completed, click Submit.
Note:
The compliance check takes about 2 or 3 business days. After the check is passed, you can proceed to the next step.
The file size of all uploaded images is less than 2 MB.
5.4 After the compliance check is passed, you can purchase bandwidth on the CCN Bandwidth (Operated by China Unicom) tab. Select both regions associated with CCN, set the bandwidth upper limit and the purchase duration, and select China Unicom Cross-Border Cloud Dedicated Line Service Agreements).
Note:
The cross-border link of CCN is operated by China Unicom, supporting the (China Unicom) Cross-Border Cloud Dedicated Line Service Agreements, and 99.95% link availability is provided.
As the cross-border link of CCN is operated by China Unicom, the invoicing party for the corresponding link bandwidth fees is China Unicom.
Currently, only the Chinese mainland - Hong Kong (China) link is supported among the cross-border links of CCN instances using the prepaid by bandwidth billing mode.
The target bandwidth upper limit can be configured within the range of [2, 10000].
5.5 After filling in and confirming all the information, click Buy Now.
5.6 Perform the following operations on the payment page as needed:
If you do not need to negotiate discounts, proceed with payment as prompted on the page.
If you need to negotiate discounts, contact your business manager. Proceed with payment after the price adjustment.

Setting the Cross-Region Bandwidth Limit (Only Applicable to Postpaid CCN Instances)

If you create a postpaid CCN instance (including the postpaid by bandwidth and postpaid by traffic billing modes), you can directly use the bandwidth without purchasing it separately. The system will automatically generate a default bandwidth limit. You can also configure the bandwidth limit for both regions associated with CCN as needed.
1. Log in to the CCN console and go to the CCN Management page.
2. On the CCN List page, click the ID of the postpaid CCN instance, and then click the Bandwidth Management tab on the instance details page.
3. (Optional) If the current bandwidth throttling method does not meet your requirements, you can modify it by following the steps below.
3.1 On the right side of the Bandwidth Throttling Method, click Modify.
3.2 In the drop-down list of the Modify Bandwidth Throttling Method pop-up window, adjust the bandwidth throttling method.
Note:
You cannot change the method to region egress bandwidth throttling or create a region egress bandwidth throttling method. Currently, it is only supported to switch CCN instances with region egress bandwidth throttling to instances with inter-region bandwidth throttling.
After the bandwidth throttling method is changed, the original bandwidth throttling configuration for the region egress will be deleted, and the bandwidth throttling value for each inter-region link will be adjusted to the maximum bandwidth throttling value corresponding to the two region egresses.
Bandwidth Throttling Method
Description
Region egress bandwidth throttling
Overall outbound bandwidth throttling from a certain region to other regions.
Inter-region bandwidth throttling
Bandwidth throttling for both inbound and outbound traffic between two regions. In the prepaid billing mode, only inter-region bandwidth throttling is supported.
3.3 Click OK to modify the bandwidth throttling method.
4. Configure the bandwidth throttling as needed based on the bandwidth throttling method of the CCN instance you create.
4.1 Set inter-region bandwidth throttling: Click Adjust Bandwidth, select the two regions requiring throttling in the Adjust Bandwidth dialog box, and set the bandwidth upper limit. To set multiple bandwidth throttling rules, click Add for configuration. Once completed, choose Next > Confirm.
4.2 Set region egress bandwidth throttling: Click Adjust Bandwidth Throttling, select the regions requiring throttling in the pop-up dialog box, fill in the upper limit of the region egress bandwidth throttling, and then click OK.
5. Configure cross-border bandwidth.
Note:
In the current postpaid CCN instances, only CCN instances using the postpaid by bandwidth billing mode support the cross-border capability.
5.1 When CCN binding involves cross-border instances, if the prompt that you have not submitted enterprise information appears on the interface, first click CCN Cross-Border Sales Compliance Check to submit enterprise information for the compliance check.
5.2 Fill in the user profile following the page prompts. Once completed, click Submit.
Note:
The compliance check takes about 2 or 3 business days. After the check is passed, you can proceed to the next step.
The file size of all uploaded images is less than 2 MB.
5.3 After the compliance check is passed, a China Unicom Guangzhou branch staff member will contact you through the contact person's phone number registered during the compliance check. After confirming the discount plan with China Unicom and signing the China Unicom Cross-Border Cloud Dedicated Line Service Agreements, you can associate cross-border instances and use the cross-border bandwidth service normally.
Note:
The cross-border link of CCN is operated by China Unicom, supporting the (China Unicom) Cross-Border Cloud Dedicated Line Service Agreements, and 99.95% link availability is provided.
After the postpaid cross-border bandwidth service of China Unicom is used, Unicom will send you a monthly bill directly. You need to pay the bandwidth fees for the corresponding link through offline channels, and the invoice will be issued by China Unicom.
The postpaid cross-border bandwidth service of China Unicom supports all cross-border links except for the Chinese mainland - Taiwan (China) link.
The cross-border bandwidth upper limit for the CCN instances using the postpaid by bandwidth billing mode can be configured within the range of [0, 10] Gbps.
