Tencent Cloud Distributed Cache notifies users of Ops events (such as instance migration) through the console in addition to SMS, email, or in-site messages. To ensure continuous cloud services and efficient management of Ops events, Tencent Cloud Distributed Cache supports viewing event types, statuses, severity levels, related instance lists, and business impacts in specific regions through Event Management. You can also schedule event execution times based on actual business needs and the severity/urgency of Ops events.

Version Description

Tencent Cloud Distributed Cache Redis 4.0, 5.0, 6.2, 7.0 versions and Valkey 8.0 version standard architecture and cluster architecture instances all support event management.

Prerequisites

Instance running status: Running.

Operation Steps

2. In the left sidebar, select Event Management.
3. In the dropdown list in the upper-right corner of the Distributed Cache (compatible with Redis) - Event Management page, select a region.
4. Filter events by planned start time range. You can directly select: Today, Tomorrow, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or click

in the time box to specify a custom time range. Events from the last 7 days are displayed by default in the event list.
5. In the event list below, view all pending Ops events within the selected time period under the specified region.
Note:
The event list is sorted in descending order by the scheduled execution date of Ops events.

Parameter
Parameter Description
Instance ID/Name
Instance ID: The unique identifier of an instance.
Name: The name set during instance creation. Hover the mouse over the instance name, click

, to re-edit the instance name for easier identification and management.
Event Type
The type of pending Ops events for the current instance. Currently supported types include minor version upgrade and instance migration. Migration refers to Ops operations related to resource movement and IDC deletion, for example: host machine vulnerability remediation. The event level is Critical. Once initiated, the task cannot be canceled.
Event Severity
Event levels are classified based on severity and urgency, in descending order: Critical, Important, Medium, Low.
Business Impact
Describes the impact of this event execution on current business impact.
Scheduled Start Time
Scheduled start date for event execution.
Maintenance Time
The maintenance time window [HH:MM - HH:MM] set individually for the current event. When the Scheduled Start Date is reached, maintenance operations are performed within the scheduled maintenance time window. Changes to the instance maintenance time window do not affect the event's maintenance time window.
Latest Start Time
The latest execution time for Ops events, meaning the event must be completed by this date; otherwise, business impact may occur.
Status
Displays the current event running status, including: Pending, In Progress, Completed, Cancelled.
Pending: Events that have not reached the execution date or are outside the maintenance time window.
In Progress: Events that have reached the scheduled date, are within the maintenance time window, and are currently undergoing maintenance.
Completed: Events that have been fully maintained.
Cancelled: Events that have been cancelled.
Completion Time
If the current event has been completed, the completion time is displayed.
Operation
Manage events, modify event execution time, or cancel this event.
Click Modify Execution Plan, and in the Modify Execution Plan window, adjust the event execution time. For details, see Modifying Event Execution Schedule.
Click Cancel Execution to cancel this Ops event.
