Tencent Cloud eKYC offers both prepaid and postpaid billing methods. You can flexibly choose a billing method based on your business scenarios.

Description
Postpaid
Monthly settlement by usage
Postpaid is the default billing method for the Tencent Cloud eKYC service. Billing is based on the number of API calls generated from your usage of the service, and a billing statement is issued.
Prepaid
The billing amount of the Tencent Cloud eKYC product is deducted by purchasing a resource bundle. All resource bundles are valid for one year, and expired bundles become invalid.
If a purchased prepaid Tencent Cloud eKYC resource bundle is not used, a full refund without reason is supported within 7 days (inclusive) from the date the purchase order is successfully delivered. For details, see Refund Instructions.
Note:
Tencent Cloud eKYC is billed based on call volume. For the relationship between call results and their corresponding charges, see Billing Error Codes.

Free Quotas

Users who activate the Tencent Cloud eKYC service for the first time can receive free trial resource bundles for AI Face Shield, Selfie Verification, andIdentity Verification, each with 100 calls. These resource bundles are issued in the form of resource bundles and can be viewed in the eKYC console approximately 30 minutes after service activation.
Free resource bundles are valid for one year. If the quota of a resource bundle is not fully used within one year, the remaining quota expires and becomes invalid. After a free resource bundle is exhausted, if you have purchased a prepaid resource bundle, the prepaid resource bundle is automatically deducted. If you have no available prepaid resource bundle, the system automatically switches to the pay-as-you-go postpaid billing method.

After individual or corporate entity information is hosted on the platform, the system automatically performs recurring screening on existing users as external risk lists and public opinion data are updated. Prepaid (Resource Bundle) Description

Validity Period

Prepaid resource bundles are valid for one year from the date of purchase and delivery. If the quota of a resource bundle is not fully used within one year, the remaining quota expires and becomes invalid.

Unsubscription Rules

After a prepaid resource bundle is used, freezing the remaining quota is not supported.
If the purchased resource bundle is not used, a full refund without reason is supported within 7 days.
For resource bundles that are eligible for a 7-day no-reason refund, click Refund in the operation column on the right side of the resource bundle list to initiate a self-service refund. For resource bundles that do not support self-service refund, submit a ticket to apply for a refund.

Deduction Time Rules

A resource bundle purchased and delivered on the same day can be used to offset usage incurred after 00:00 of that day. For example, a resource bundle purchased at 14:30 on August 14, 2026 can offset usage incurred after 00:00 on August 14, 2026.
Note:
Resource bundles cannot be used to offset usage incurred before purchase.

Deduction Order

The deduction order for usage is: Free Resource Bundle > Prepaid Resource Bundle > Postpaid.
If no prepaid resource bundle is purchased, the system automatically switches to postpaid billing.
If you have purchased a prepaid resource bundle, the system automatically switches to prepaid resource bundle deduction. When the prepaid resource bundle is exhausted, the system switches to postpaid billing on a monthly basis.
If you purchase multiple paid resource bundles of the same type at the same time, they are deducted in the order of purchase time, with the earliest purchased bundle deducted first.

Postpaid (Monthly Settlement) Description

Postpaid: Billed monthly based on usage, with bills generated from the 1st to the 3rd of the following month.
After a prepaid resource bundle is exhausted, the system automatically switches to postpaid billing by default.

Example I

If a user expects to call the AI Face Shield - API service 300,000 times within one year, they can purchase three resource bundles of 100,000 calls each. The total cost is calculated as follows: 3 × 54,000 = 162,000 (USD).

Example II

If a user calls the AI Face Shield - API service 15,000 times in a month and has purchased only one resource bundle of 10,000 calls, the excess usage is automatically billed in postpaid mode after the resource bundle is exhausted. The total cost is calculated as follows: (15,000 - 10,000) × 0.6 + 5,400 = 8,400 (USD).

Example I

If a user calls the AI Face Shield - API service 1,000 times in a month, the total cost is calculated as follows at a unit price of USD 0.6/call: 1,000 × 0.6 = 600 (USD).

Example II

If a user calls the AI Face Shield - API service 30,000 times in a month, the total cost is calculated as follows at a unit price of USD 0.6/call: 30,000 × 0.6 = 18,000 (USD).
