Settlement Cycle
The Standard edition of Key Management Service (KMS) uses a monthly pay-as-you-go postpaid billing mechanism. Billing and settlement occur from the 3rd to the 5th of each month. During this period, fees incurred in the previous month are settled and deducted, and a bill is generated.
CMK Storage Fees
This refers to the storage fees for Customer Master Keys (CMKs) that users create in KMS. CMK storage fees are billed daily. Specifically, the total number of CMKs under a specified account is calculated each day to determine the daily CMK storage fee.
Cloud product key: Free. A cloud product key is a cloud product master key automatically created for users by Tencent Cloud products/services (such as COS, TDSQL) when they call KMS.
Root key: USD 0.06 per key per day. A root key is a customer master key created by users through the console or API.
Attention:
CMK total limit: The creation of CMKs is limited to 200 per account per region, excluding those in the scheduled deletion state. Cloud product keys are not included. To create more CMKs, please submit a ticket or contact Tencent Cloud sales. CMK billing status: User CMKs that are in the scheduled deletion state are not charged.
API Call Fees
KMS provides a free quota of 20,000 API calls. After the free quota is used up, billing switches to a monthly pay-as-you-go model. Specifically, the total number of API calls under a specified account is calculated each month to determine the monthly API call fee.
API calls: USD 0.18 per 10,000 calls, billed monthly.
Attention:
When the number of API calls is less than or equal to 1,000, it is counted as 1,000 calls.
