To enhance your experience and query efficiency with Task Management, TDSQL-C for MySQL will upgrade its Task Management capability. Automatic backup tasks will be separated from the existing task list and displayed independently. This update involves changes to API responses and the console UI. Please review the adjustments promptly and update your integrations accordingly.
Adjustment Details
API Changes: When you call DescribeTasks to query the task list, automatic backup tasks will no longer be returned. To query automatic backup tasks going forward, use the new DescribeAutoTasks API. Its filter parameters are consistent with those of DescribeTasks, making migration straightforward.
Console Task List Split: The task list in the console is split into two tabs: Maintenance Tasks and Automatic Backup Tasks. The Maintenance Tasks tab displays all task types except automatic backup tasks. Both tabs share the same set of list columns/fields.
Task Management Display Scope: Automatic backup tasks are removed from the Task Management view entirely, including any existing (historical) automatic backup tasks previously shown.
Effective Time
This adjustment takes effect on October 20, 2026 (UTC+8) and will be gradually rolled out by region in grayscale.
Recommended Actions
If your application directly calls DescribeTasks to retrieve backup-related tasks, switch to calling DescribeAutoTasks instead. This ensures automatic backup tasks remain queryable after the change takes effect.
